By WWPS Communications Department

Congratulations to Walla Walla High School students Kenny Gabel and Rem McBride for being selected to attend the National FFA Next Gen Conference: Power, Structural and Technical Pathway. Participants experience new and emerging ideas, trends, and products; cutting-edge technology; sustainability and more. In addition, they delve into literacy and advocacy as well as diversity, equity and inclusion, all while exploring various careers in the pathway. This conference is open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Participants are selected through a competitive application process.

“It is a great opportunity for them,” said Teacher & FFA Advisor Jessica Johnson. “Kenny’s mom, Kelly, works at the district’s print shop and Rem’s mom, Pamela, is a retired Wa-Hi science teacher.”
