2024-25 CTE SkillsUSA Regional Photography Competition

On Friday, January 10th Walla Walla High School students Ryan Beebe and Mark Martin competed in the 2024-25 SkillsUSA Eastern Washington Regional photography competition held at the EWU Catalyst Building in Spokane.

Each competitor was required to bring two printed images for judging. Competitors were then tasked with a project-based test implementing their photography and photoshop skills and an online multiple choice test to gauge their photographic knowledge. The project-based test included walking around the area to gather images for their themed movie poster. After students returned from the photo shoot, they had time to post-process their images and create a movie poster in Photoshop. The project work time was followed by the multiple-choice exam.
