Walla Walla High School FBLA Students Shine at Regional Competition

Several Students Qualify for the State Championship in April

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at Walla Walla High School showcased their business expertise and leadership skills at this year’s FBLA Regional Competition, with several students placing in top spots and advancing to the state competition in April.

The competition, held at Columbia Basin College on January 31, brought together talented students from across the region to compete in events such as Accounting, Business Presentation, Public Speaking, and Social Media Strategy. Walla Walla High School students rose to the challenge, demonstrating their knowledge, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.

Among the standout performers were senior Graham Johnson, who placed first in Digital Video Production, and junior Estrella Morales who secured a second place finish in Marketing. Other notable finishes included Nahomi Sotelo Navarro and Zoey Foster in Business Law, as well as a strong performance in Introduction to Business Presentation by Katie Burt.

“I’m incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and hard work,” said Mr. Ma, the FBLA advisor at Walla Walla High School. “They’ve spent hours preparing, and their efforts truly paid off. We’re excited to see them take their skills to the next level at state.”

The students will now shift their focus to the state competition, which will take place in Bellevue, WA in April. Those who excel at the state level will earn the opportunity to compete at the national FBLA competition later this year.

“This experience has been amazing,” said second year member Lexi Sullivan, who will be competing at state. “It’s been a great opportunity to learn, network, and challenge ourselves. We’re ready to give it our best shot at state!”

As the road to state begins, the Walla Walla High School community is rallying behind its FBLA competitors, cheering them on as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.
