SEATech SkillsUSA Criminal Justice Regionals
SEATech’s Criminal Justice Program students competed in the SkillsUSA Regional Technical and Leadership Contest on January 11th and 18th. The contest took place locally and students from the Eastern Region of Washington were invited to show off their skills in hopes of gaining a spot at the Washington State SkillsUSA Leadership Conference in March. Criminal Justice students competed in Crime Scene Investigation and Law Enforcement.
In addition, SEATech students competed in leadership contests consisting of Job Interviews, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Prepared Speech. Also joining the competition were Royal High School and Columbia Basin Skills Center.
The following students saw their goals achieved as they earned a spot to compete at the state level.
For Crime Scene Investigation:
1st place team Karli Tobin, Raighlyn Lore, and Francisco Villagomez Jr.
2nd place team of Elijah Wilson, Armando Bacilio, and Yohanna Ibarra-Sanchez.
In the Criminal Justice Law Enforcement contest, Karli Tobin finished in 1st place in front of Anais Ayala in 2nd place, and Raighlyn Lore brought home 3rd
For Extemporaneous Speaking, the state competitors will be Karli Tobin and Signe Erikson. Karli Tobin will also be advancing in Job Interview and Prepared Speech.
