TEAMS Competition Completed
Seven Garrison Middle School students competed in TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science) which wrapped up Saturday, February 24. The students who competed were:
Team A
Keith Walton, Ryan Newton, Logan Price, and Easton VanDyke
Team B
Nick Vance, Leo Munoz, and Jesse Vawter
Students trained throughout the winter for this competition and each team completed a collaborative essay. Afterwards, a professional engineer taught the students mathematics. Last Saturday, they completed the competition by taking a 40 question math test and each team built a prototype storage facility with a working garage door out of household materials.
