SEATech student uses his skills to save a life

On October 10, 2023, Tucker Thompson, who participates in a non-school-related bowling league responded to a citizen in need.  Tucker, who has been trained in CPR at SEATech Skills Center, was able to put his training into action when a fellow bowler collapsed at the evening event (outside of school) and needed CPR.

Tucker is a second-year student in the Advanced Manufacturing and Welding Technology program at SEATech.  When asked about his call to action, Tucker said, ”It was great to help save someone; it felt like I was doing CPR for an hour even though it was probably only 4-5 minutes.”

Students in the class complete several certifications that help get them ready to enter the workforce.  Please join us in thanking Tucker for his call to action to save a community member.
