SEATech Skills Center Fall 2023-24 Registration

Priority Registration February 6 - May 5, 2023

Southeast Area Technical (SEATech) Skills Center is accepting applications for the 2023-24 school year. All programs are open to juniors and seniors during the school year: Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Technology, Careers in Media & Entertainment, Construction Technology, Criminal Justice, and Health Science Careers. Note - you are not officially enrolled until you receive an acceptance letter from SEATech Skills Center and complete any additional paperwork. About SEATech

Southeast Area Technical Skills Center (SEATech) is one of 17 Skills Centers in Washington State. Skills centers are established to provide access to comprehensive, industry-defined career and technical programs of study that prepare students for careers, employment, apprenticeships, and/or post-secondary education.

SEATech operates as a high school cooperative program of six local school districts:  College Place, Dayton, Prescott, Touchet, Waitsburg, and Walla Walla.  Walla Walla Public Schools serves as the host district. SEATech also can serve students from private schools, online schools, and home school students.  SEATech is a branch campus of Tri-Tech and serves area high schools by providing programs that would normally not be offered in a comprehensive high school due to high operation and equipment costs or low student enrollment at the school.

SEATech is designed to help students get a head start on their career goals by providing focused training in specific industries. Programs are designed in three-period blocks allowing the extended time to not only learn the theory of a subject but also get real hands-on experiences to apply and develop skills. The programs are also personalized. Instructor-to-student ratios are low, allowing the Skills Center staff the time to get to know each student and address his/her unique learning styles.

SEATech’s programs provide opportunities for juniors and seniors to earn 3 credits per program, per year, while earning college credits, certifications employers are looking for, and fulfilling multiple graduation requirements.

SEATech also offers summer programs to current 8th-grade through 11th-grade students. Students attend one class all day and earn 0.5 credits toward graduation in less than three full weeks of school.
