FFA District 6 Competition

On Thursday, March 21st, eight WaHi students in the FFA program traveled to Asotin and competed in multiple district-level competitions.

In Extemporaneous speaking, students draw 3 out of 18 topics and choose one to write a 4-6 minute speech. They are given 30 minutes to write their speech and then present it to a panel of judges. Congratulations to Parker Morgan for placing 3rd with his Extemporaneous Speech.

Two students competed in Agriculture Education where they were required to write a complete lesson plan, take a knowledge exam related to Teaching and Learning, and teach their lesson to a room of students and a panel of judges. Congratulations to Teegan Timmons for winning the competition and placing 1st, as well as Baylee Appleford for placing 2nd. These students qualified to move on to the state competition in May.
