District FFA Vet and 1st Year Awards
Please congratulate students for their amazing accomplishments in Waitsburg this spring!
WaHi’s FFA Vet Science Team and FFA First Year have been busy studying and practicing before and after school and it all is paying off. Students traveled to Waitsburg to compete in the respective district competitions, giving the students a great perspective of how the state convention would be.
The Vet Science Team (coached by Ms. Drader) completed the math, written, and breed/parasite/equipment tests in addition to their handling and clinical practicums. Well done to Hanna Wright, Brintel Schwarz, Raegan Leiferman, Mandy Tilley, and Mahaela Hardin for placing 4th overall, and a big shout out to Hanna for placing 6th Individually!
Two First Year Member teams, consisting of all freshmen, rocked their team test and team presentation of building a garden for the community. Team 1, consisting of Kinzey Appleford, Aaden Repoff, Sloane Stemple, and Peyton Albert- placed 2nd overall, and Team 2, including Makenna Wright, Ellie Edwards, Aubrey Haury, and Kaiya Witcher, placed 1st overall!!
The students learned a lot and still have room for improvement. This was an awesome day to be a Blue Devil! Thank you for continuing to support students involved in co-curricular experiences like FFA!
