SkillsUSA Washington Eastern Regional Competitions Criminal Justice

Students from the SEATech Criminal Justice Program recently competed In the SkillsUSA Regional Technical and Leadership Contests on January 13th and 20th of 2024.  The contests took place locally and students from the Eastern Region of Washington were invited to show off their career skills in hopes of gaining a spot at the Washington State SkillsUSA Leadership Conference in March. Criminal Justice students competed in both Crime Scene Investigation as well as Law Enforcement. In addition, SEATech Students competed in Leadership Contests consisting of Job Interview, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Prepared Speech. 

The following students saw their goals achieved as they earned a spot to compete at the state level:

In CSI, the 1st place team consisted of Shakthi Amarasinghe, Jadon Carlile, and Armando Bacilio. The 2nd place team members were Jessika Lamber, Elijah Wilson, and Korben King. In 3rd Place was the team of Peyton Badertscher, Raighlyn Lore, and Cooper Nelson. In the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement contest, Ricky Lozano finished in 1st place, Annalicia DeLaRosa placed 2nd, and Jordan Lozano brought home 3rd.  

Jessika Lambert will be advancing in Extemporaneous Speaking and Job Interview. In Prepared Speech, Peyton Badertscher will head to state as well.
